| The last month saw the United States and Cuba engage in a technical exchange to address the Matanzas fire cleanup, the release from prison of a Cuban American convicted of espionage by a Cuban military court, the restart of the Cuban Family Reunification Parole Program, and bilateral cooperation on maritime migration and drug smuggling. All positive developments in areas of mutual interest, though relations remain far from warm, and inadequate to address common challenges.
